Becky Thomas, one of Re/Max Elite’s most talented REALTORS®, brings 34 years of experience in real estate to her clients. First licensed in Kentucky in 1977, Becky discovered the strength of her talents, going on to earn her Kentucky Broker’s license. After relocating to Tennessee with her family, Becky was awarded her Tennessee Broker's license in 1984. Becky was educated at Louisville, KY’s Sullivan College; she has since continued her education in the career field of real estate. Becky enjoys working with both buyers and sellers and is exceptionally talented in single family home transactions. In addition to her designation as an ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), Becky holds the coveted and highly regarded REALTOR® distinctions of GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). Becky’s GRI title instills confidence in her clients, as it is only awarded to a REALTOR® who has acquired a deep knowledge of technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate. Becky’s CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation, which fewer than 2% of real estate professionals nationwide are awarded, indicates not only her technical skills within the field, but a dedication and commitment to her clients and their success in making their dreams of home ownership into realities.
Becky and her family relocated to Tennessee thirty years ago, raising children and grandchildren in the area she now considers “home”. She cites Mule Days, the James K. Polk Home, city parks, public school system, and antebellum homes throughout the city as just a fraction of the benefits of home ownership in the area. Columbia’s proximity to Nashville offers the conveniences of the city, while decidedly removing city hassles from the lives of its residents. Columbia’s community appreciates and upholds small-town values while benefiting from big-city efficiencies and a more cosmopolitan world view. Becky believes firmly in the concept of “treating people like we want to be treated”; her honesty and integrity have been as important in building her career as her knowledge and experience. Initially drawn to the flexibility and excitement of real estate, Becky’s love of meeting new people and helping them in their dream of home ownership has kept her in the business and successfully helping her clients achieve their goals, despite fluctuations of the market. Becky is not content to cite her years of experience and simply “rest on her laurels”—by attending real estate conferences, conventions, workshops, and classes, she has kept abreast of the changing world or real estate in order to better serve her clients. Becky advises prospective homeowners to be pro-active in their dealings, urging clients to secure pre-approval for loans prior to looking at properties. In an industry with a growing number of foreclosures and short sales, financing has become a crucial step that defines all real estate transactions and has proven tricky for even the most seasoned professional. Becky believes there are no obstacles, only challenges, and as such, has devoted herself to innovative problem-solving and “thinking outside of the box” in order to meet the needs of her clients. Her experience and personal interest in helping them attain success is not only for their immediate transaction, but for its sustained success over the test of time.
